Terms and Conditions
I understand that by registering for a Play in the Wild UK event and by signing up to a 1:1 Mountain Strong Coaching session I agree to abide by the following terms and conditions:
1. I understand that my registration fee for Play in the Wild UK is non-refundable if I cancel my participation in an event for any reason, and at any time.
2. I understand that any 1:1 Mountain Strong Coaching session that is cancelled later than 24hrs before the session will need to be paid in full.
3. I understand that I have a responsibility for ensuring I am physically fit for the activity I have booked and will declare all medical details on the PARQ form.
4. In the event that I become unable to attend, I will inform Mountain Strong Coaching or Play in the Wild UK as soon as possible.
5. Mountain Strong Coaching accepts no liability for any damage, injury or loss suffered by or to me, or to any other persons, or to any property in connection with the event or otherwise.
6. While Play in the Wild UK accepts it’s responsibility to make any event as safe as possible and ensure all routes are risk assessed by our run lead Johnno prior to guiding, We know that all adventurous events are inherently hazardous and cannot be 100% risk free, no matter how hard we prepare. We require all our run leaders to have gained their Leadership in Running and Fitness through England Athletics (this means leaders are DBS checked and have public liability insurance to lead running groups. This is not a personal accident policy, if a participant trips over their own shoelaces and breaks an arm, for example, there is no automatic compensation) the participant acknowledges that personal accident and personal items insurance is his or her sole responsibility.
7. While Mountain Strong Coaching accepts it’s responsibility to make any 1:1 session as safe as possible and ensure risk assessments are completed within the gym environment prior to your session beginning and routes are risk assessed prior to an outdoor session, We know that gyms and outdoor environments are inherently hazardous and cannot be 100% risk free, no matter how hard we prepare. We require our S&C coaches to have a Level 4 S&C Qualification through CIMSPA and our run coaches to have a Coaching in Running Fitness qualification through England Athletics (this means coaches are DBS checked and have public liability insurance to perform a 1:1 coaching session indoors and outdoors. This is not a personal accident policy, if a participant trips over their own shoelaces and breaks an arm, for example, there is no automatic compensation) the participant acknowledges that personal accident and personal items insurance is his or her sole responsibility.
8. Play in the Wild UK reserves the right at any time to remove participants from an event or prevent participants participating in an event if, in the event manager’s sole discretion, they consider such action necessary for safety reasons or the proper enjoyment of the event by other participants or for any other reasonable reason. No refund shall be made if the participant has acted negligently, maliciously, with wilful misconduct or otherwise without due care and attention for the event or other participants, so as to cause their removal.
9. If an event is cancelled for any reason by Play in the Wild UK, we will offer you a choice to either receive a full refund or transfer your money towards another event of your choice.
10. I understand that Play in the Wild UK reserves the right to change the date, course or event base or, if necessary, to cancel an event entirely, in the event of Force Majeure (that is, unpredictable events beyond their reasonable control including, without limitation, natural disasters, war, civil or political unrest, terrorism, extreme weather, epidemics and pandemics). No refund will be available in this eventuality.
11. We take great care and pride in planning our routes, however, GPS devices vary and from time to time we may need to amend published routes for safety reasons, we do our very best to avoid this. Play in the Wild UK will not offer refunds if the route is shorter than published.
12. You must be 16 or above to participate in a 1:1 Mountain Strong Coaching sessions and a Play in the Wild UK event.
13. The participant consents to being photographed and filmed throughout the event and that these films and photographs may be used in any media for the purpose of advertising, publicity and otherwise in relation to the exploitation of the event (and future events) and/or the promotion of Mountain Strong Coaching and Play in the Wild UK, please fill out our waiver before attending an event.
14. By agreeing to these terms, you are also agreeing to the terms of our Privacy Policy
