Founded in 2018, Mountain Strong Coaching is all about helping mountain athletes become stronger, more resilient, and ready for whatever the trail throws at them.
Based in Cumbria and rooted in the heart of the fells, I work with runners of all levels through fully personalised 1:1 coaching — both online and in person. Whether you’re chasing your first ultra or aiming to hit a new PB on your favourite route, your plan is built around you.

Maggie is a highly qualified coach with deep roots in the mountains and a proven track record of helping athletes perform at their best. A UKA-certified Trail and Fell Running Coach, UESCA Ultra Running Coach, Level 4 Strength & Conditioning Coach, Mobility Specialist, and Intrinsic Biomechanics Practitioner, she brings an elite-level skillset to every athlete she works with.
With over a decade of personal experience racing mountain ultras and triathlons, Maggie understands the physical and mental demands of endurance sport from the inside out. Her coaching blends science with real-world experience — using a data-driven, holistic approach that delivers measurable progress.
For the past five years, Maggie has coached both recreational and elite athletes, helping them build strength, improve movement, and unlock new levels of performance. Her unique combination of strength & conditioning, mobility, and biomechanics ensures every athlete moves well, stays injury-free, and feels confident in their training — whether on the trail, in the mountains, or at the start line of their next big challenge.
